Daniel Pietragallo

Senior Assistant Attorney General at the Colorado Attorney General

Daniel Pietragallo is a Senior Assistant Attorney General with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, where his primary responsibilities include working with the State Grand Jury to investigate complex financial fraud cases and consulting on issues related to cybersecurity and data privacy. For the past five years Daniel has worked as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Denver School of Law, where he teaches a class called Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, and Incident Response Practicum. He also sits on the steering committee for the Rocky Mountain Cyber Fraud Task Force, where he works with Federal partners, local law enforcement, academia, and private-sector stakeholders to provide quarterly trainings. Daniel holds a certification in information privacy through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and is a member of the Information Systems Security Association’s (ISSA) Cyber Executive Forum. Daniel earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He is currently working towards a Masters in Cybersecurity Policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology
