The Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act goes into effect on January 1, 2020. Under the Act, employers will have a host of new obligations, including advertising pay rates on job openings, announcing promotional opportunities and retaining records of job descriptions and wage histories. But what does this all mean? Until very recently, not much information has been available to help us understand what exactly would be required. On September 20, 2020, details were finally announced in a set of proposed rules – the new “Equal Pay Transparency Rules.” Join us in this important session as we break down the new rules and provide details on what actions will be required to comply with the Act.
